What to Expect
Fine PDO threads are placed under the skin to lift tissue and stimulate collagen over time.
The Procedure
After marking the treatment area and applying local anesthetic, fine PDO (polydioxanone) threads are carefully inserted under the skin using a thin needle or cannula. The threads are positioned to physically lift sagging tissue and stimulate collagen production. The procedure takes 60–90 minutes depending on the number of areas treated.
Results & Duration
Immediate lifting visible right after the procedure, with continued improvement over 2–3 months as collagen builds around the threads. Results typically last 12–18 months. The threads naturally dissolve over 6 months, but the collagen framework remains.
Recovery
Swelling and possible bruising for 5–7 days. Avoid wide mouth opening, vigorous chewing, and strenuous exercise for 1–2 weeks. Sleep on your back for the first week. Avoid facials and dental work for 2 weeks.
